Hah. This is Shelley Winters, who has come back from the dead more times than I can count. (The Zombie Shelley arc (“Inevitable”) is still one of my favorite stories.) She’s escaped from Portmeirion. She even befriended Shelby Winner! She is a squeaky-voiced Force of Nature. Shelley shall prevail!
So secret it has been forgotten, no clean up in the evenings so dust rules! From dust balls to dust bunnies to dust mammoths, the evolution of dust accumulation when you come in.
I like that “go away!” first response then the tentative, “come in?” as a second thought.
Shelly is now a showing off her legs as progress in job opportunities? Or is it a “thank you” for hiring her? Or she is so assured in her self she does it without being self conscious? How much do I get for psychoanalyzing characters?
I think that’s Shelley saying the “Go away, and then come in?” in the last panel. I think she’s trying to take the “Go away!” as optimistically as she can.
you missed getting ol’ shel in trouble 🙂
These bobbins.horse comics are so welcome! They’ve improved my mornings by 24%.

I don’t think any of that had happened yet at the time this comic takes place.
That continuous panel of Shelley walking down the corridor is v. mod in its composition sensibilities, John. Very “Young Avengers”.
(mini-Steed + mini-Peel or Hulkling and Wiccan, take your pick)
