Len Pickering is a handshaker, a dealmaker. Now it’s time to start worrying about what “Special Projects” actually is because history suggests it could be literally anything.

Hmm, “Special Projects”… Where have I heard that term before?
Hopefully not in one of my comics at a point that directly contradicts this one, because let’s just say it wouldn’t be the first time.
Fortunately, no. Tackleford’s Chamber of Commerce used that euphemism in Severed Alliance for their dalliance in the dark arts.
Ha! That’s glaring enough that I ought to change it, but I can’t think of a better term than Special Projects. Maybe I’ll just keep using “Special Projects” for everything. I’ll really own it.
Special Projects is apt. Many companies have a Special Projects group. Some of them work on incubation of real projects, for others, it’s where they send someone they can’t fire but want to move out of the way.
Shelley is going to be doing the event listings for Need to Know?
There’s a 1997 reference for you kids.
ah NTK! (Quick browse) it still exists! And shows the last update from 2007! I wonder who’s paying their hosting bills?
History suggests it could even be destroying history.
Len “Snow Job” Pickering does it again!
Man did I miss Tackleford. So glad to see it’s getting some renewed love.
Glad to hear from you again, and best of luck with the series. I’ve been following Bad Machinery over at GoComics and happy to get new stuff from you now.
