Bludgeoning, terrifying
I don’t know a lot about the city of Katowice besides the fact that it is in Poland. I don’t know what its association with electronic music is, but if there isn’t at least one person in that fair city dedicated to expanding sound in new directions, I’m going to give up on life.
Skinny Puppy! The boys could just take a page from them to please the coming crowd; surely Tim could invent some quick prosthetics and fake blood, ala N. Ogre, could he not?
I hear Katowice is the origin of Synth Sitar Polka Trance. Some incestuous bleed over from Zappanale in Bad Doberan.
I heard they were mainly into Gdansk music
Katowice is an industrial sprawl-city, sooooo… you chose a right name, I guess.
It also hosts an electronic music festival!
wooooooooooooow, and Underworld is gonna be there in 2020!
TILT
Is that a black “modesty bar” inserted by John or a bit of black duct tape?
Black tape. A little authenticity.
More likely gaff tape, which is usually black and is far easier to remove from, urrgh, sensitive areas.
Electrical tape is what people seem to use in North America.
Don’t really need itβI already know what those things look like.
π
On a different note – thank you for your e-mail washing machine moving tip, John.
It is PURE GENIUS!
Yeah! Will definitely forget to use that until *after* I’ve damaged my floor in the future π
My next tip will be how to get dents out of your lino.
What? There’s household tips in the emails? I assume they were dreary robot-produced templated alerts!
I must now sign up and forevermore wonder at how to move the washing machine. Damn my lackadaisical attitude to notifications.
God no, I write them anew each time, never the same nonsense/sense twice!
I’ve played in Katowice π It’s a centre for many prog bands to play at the Wyspianski Theatre. We had a great time and the locals were very friendly and enthusiastic about our music (and in one case, our drummer)
I’m the DJ / Compare / audio production guy for the Belfast Giants ice hockey club. We recently played Katowice in a pre-season competition. I have rarely enjoyed announcing a team name more. I had to spell it out phonetically so that I didn’t slip: Cat-oo-veet-chay!
This is my kind of post!!!!
Question: Aside from Electronic Music, does Katowice have a famous pastry to its name like Watowice?
I once changed trains in Katowice.
