Just my type
Well, this is the last Bobbins dot horse of the current run. It’s time to move on to new things. I’m sure we’ll reconvene here at some point, but the cupboard of new material is bare – completely bare – at the moment, so it could be a while. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by each day. I’ll let you know via the mailing list what’s coming up next.
Thank you very much for this. I love your stories.
Thank you for a really enjoyable run of bobbins dot horse the last few weeks, Mr. Allison. It’s been a huge treat.
Well, dang.
I, too, had a time.
Thanks so much, Mr. Allison..! ^_^
Loved this storyline, it was cool to see the band! Thanks for posting!
Does this mean we’re not getting eggs?
Any future offering you have to make will be gratefully received, John.
It was great while it lasted, at least (as always). Thanks for all the new strips we did get.
Also, Shelley, do you *really* think Ryan could ever have a long-term relationship with a heavily-tattooed woman? That seems about as likely as… I dunno, Ryan becoming a high school teacher or something.
Brian, R.U. Kidding? 😉
OHHH. dang. why do I let you break my heart again? I guess I should’ve seen this coming, but hoped it would never end. I love your comics. They brighten my day. Thank you for sharing the inner beauties of your mind through the pens and tubes.
Brings a tear to the eye. Looking forward to the next! :*
Bravo, sir! Seeing these in my RSS feed every day was a real treat. I look forward to the reconvention.
Fprtunately, enough time has passed that Shelley’s bangs — er, fringe — has grown out to the point that she no longer looks like Dave Hill from Slade.
Fortunately…
(Someone please tell me how to edit these comment!)
I laughed, I cried – it was a smashing ride. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Your works, adrift in relative space and time, always make my life a warmer time than the general temperature can exert. Thanks Mr. A.
quick inquiry: Is Ljubjana from the same country as the family of that boy whose name I don’t remember who hung out with Sumitra, Grendel, and that girl whose name I similarly don’t remember? Thanks. 🙂
Thanks for this run of Bobbins—I really enjoyed it.
As always, John, it’s been a pleasure and a privilege.
Great storytelling with such delightful artwork, truly a joy! Thanks for making comics!
Well done as always John. Looking forward to the next project.
I will never get bored of John’s dialogue writing. I look forward to the next batch.
My brain is writing fanfic of the character trajectories of Ljubjana and of Dorado, how cool to have met them! Maybe someday bobbins will correct my misapprehensions. Thank you for a great series!
What a ride! Propah cushty, like.
Thank you, John!
So long and thanks
Well, damn that was a lovely story. And looking forward to your next nifty adventure!
This was great.
Looking forward to whatever comes next.
Well, thanks for all the Bobbins! I still hope for a complete printed and bound Bobbins-compendium in a representative Display-Box to put on a coffee table. If you ever do that, Mr. Allison, I shall have to buy a coffee table!
Same. Or at least look for one in a skip, dang it.
I love your writing, John, and possibly love your drawing (which gets better all the time) even more. It’s always a treat when we get them both together. Looking forward to whatever you come up with next.
Looking forward to hearing about the new project!
Me tooo – thanks!
Thanks for bringing these back if only for a little bit, I genuinely got excited to see that newsletter popping into my inbox! I look forward to your next stint when you get the chance.
Thank for the visit, nice to catch up with folks every now and then.
Thank you so much for these, on top of all the others, which have brought me so much gentle amusement and intrigue, and reminded me of my roots. I look forward to more in the future, and having enough lottery wins to purchase all the potential printed versions 🙂
That genuinely is a comforting thought. Thank you, John. Here’s to exciting new project!
Wow. What a blast! What a ride! Thanks, John. Your stories make my day.
Well, nobody knows what the future holds huh?
Thank you for the ride, sir! It was a great one!
That was all kinds of wonderful. Thank you. I can’t wait to see your next story, whatever it is.
Another thoroughly enjoyable ride through Bobbinsland. Thank you for it all.
That’s some heavy foreshadowing there Shelley.
(also thank you and good luck, we as readers will always be waiting eagerly for whatever you create next!)
Aww lovely way to close out the chapter
Well, it’s been said 40 times by others here, but thanks for this run. Always a pleasure, looking forward to your next work!
Oooh, that foreshadowing in the last panel! Or rather backshadowing?
Whatever you may call it, it’s like when in a Star Wars work young Anakin Skywalker is shown with the Imperial March as background music…
Anyway, thank you John, for this awesome retro-story!
I loved this run! Love this last strip.
Looking forward to the next batch, whenever they might come. From a long, long-time lurker, infrequent or perhaps never commenter.
You are worth waiting for, John.
If you ever need an Ole Wumman to be “egg people” with – well, I’m here. . .
Thank you, John!
Lovely conclusion to a fun run.
Thank you so much for the emotional roller-coaster. It’s been one helluva ride!
I’d like to add my thanks to the bunch, as well.
I’ll be looking forward to the future rss ping!
Mr. Allison, your stories and art get better with each iteration. Excellent work, and I eagerly await your next project.
Please let there be more Bobbins in the future!
You are the BEST, Mr. A! I look forward to what’s next!
Always fun to read these each day…thank you for all of these over the years!
So long, and thanks for all the frames!
I can attest that no past background was needed to enjoy this mightily. Looking forward eagerly to the next thing you do.
Thank you for so many wonderful adventures with this crew. It’s such a treat whenever we get to spend a little more time with them. Great stuff as always.
Thank you, oh thank you, John. I think I see a poster for the movie “Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out Of Balance” in the first panel. Bravo!
Seemed like the sort of thing they’d have on at £3 Cinema Club!
Perfect.
Oh! I wouldn’t have noticed that! For me that’s a name I remember from my childhood/adolescence mostly because Philip Glass was quite popular then, but I think the famous one then was Powaqqatsi as it was very recent. And the opera Akhnaten on the other hand.
Thanks as always, John, for everything you do. I love reading your stuff and have been a fan for years. Looking forward to whatever your next project is.
Thank you as always the lovely jaunt. Will always be reading.
Great arc, thank you for continuing to take the time to work within this universe that I love so dearly. I hope whatever you’re working on now is going well and look forward to reading it!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful!
Ive read all these other grateful and appreciative comments and all I can say is just “Ditto”, over and over and over.
This story has been fantastic, your work brings me much joy.
I have a t-shirt exactly like Ryan’s!
I’m also married and don’t work in the skips sector, so I don’t think this means that there are other parallels.
Do this, this mailing list thing.
Thanks for giving me something to look forward too every week. Will be keeping an eye out for the new project announcement! ????
I feel like this is a reasonable place to leave Bobbins. All the characters are properly positioned to match where they were at the start of ScaryGoRound. I want to see more monthly comics that I can buy at the store. Steeple is fantastic and I hope we get to see more of it. Also looking forward to Lottie’s new adventures.
Thank you. I will miss your work, as I always do when I run out of it.
I have been reading your strips for over 20 years! Now what am I supposed to do?
Noooooooooooo—well okay. See you next time!!!
Enjoyed your characters very much! thx for all!
Wait.
Thanks for all except Desmond!
Thank you for this run, it was a great story!
Brilliant as ever, thanks so much, all the best for the next phase :—)
Awesome. I will be waiting when you get back to it.
Keep up the good work 😀
I love these characters! Good luck with your next project!
I loved the original run of Bobbins and I loved this one as well. I hope you come back to the ginger ninja and her cohorts, sooner rather than later, but it’s been good to see them again. Thanks Mr. Allison.
I check this page out once every 6 months, and it is very exciting when I find new material. Really wonderful, always enjoy revisiting the Bobbins universe.
I am ashamed I missed this run at the time, but so happy to have seen it this morning! What a way to wake up!
Finding and reading these was probably the highlight of this Covid year! Looking back, how fortuitous that this sequence wrapped up just before the hammer fell in March, although it would be interesting just what Mr. Allison suffered through in all of December 2019. Could it have been…???
Loved reading these redos of classic strips! Great to see how your artwork and staging have continued to evolve. Really, really enjoyed these.
And a Fallon cameo in the final panel?! ????
Oh No?! Its done?
What are the odds – I caught up to the strip before, and came back nearly a year later. (I like to binge my comics)
Alas! I think I finished making these comics around this time in 2019.
