Wait, is she walking away because she can see what we readers cannot, namely Ryan and Ljub exiting through another door? Because if they’re still in the room and she’s just blithely walking away from what has at least an even chance of being Ryan’s utter doom, well, that doesn’t seem like Shelley to me.
But if she were drunk, wouldn’t she have little bubbles floating around her head? That’s what having little bubbles floating around a character’s head means, right?
this latest storyline really isn’t doing much to disuade me from my belief that shelley and tim are terrible, annoying people who just keep complicating and occasionally ruining the lives of everyone around them, and yet still keep being the darling returning stars of the bobbins/sgr/bad machinery-verse.
I’m sure it’s just commitment to the story, and probably will last only long enough for Shelley to use it to start a bonfire to warm Holly and any nearby itinerant hobos in a fancy bonus comic.
I’ve always felt that while one attracts more murders and the other attracts more supernatural doings, temporal shenanigans and general mayhem, Jessica Fletcher of Murder She Wrote fame and Shelley Winters have a lot in common.

Shelley’s drunk. I’m sure she’ll feel guilty about it in the morning.

addendum:
from 02/03’s strip: “Shelley’s wearing a leopard-print coat. I’m not drawing that again.”
Uh, oops? 😉
Just be wowed by the dedication and suffering endured for his craft. And it’s a hipster classic garment.

“Noboddies perfectt”!!!!!
it’s largely accidental, like Aeneas.
They mean well though, and that’s enough to endear them to me.
Tim? Hell yeah.
Shelley? Not so much.

All I want to know is if 60s Man and the Dark Queen pashed in the end

One of my favorites.
I’m feelin’ Holly’s whole expresson in the 3rd frame on a deep level.
