Just for cats
Unfortunately I had no room to list Shelley’s other ideas for special publishing projects but they included “yogurt review bookazine (quarterly?)”, “part-work where you can build the entire city of London in miniature (1 street a week)” and “magazine where alternate pages are mirrors.”
Oooh, that last one’s a winner! Double your page count instantly! Makes the whole magazine look bigger
Shelley is clearly a genius but I hadn’t realised the full extent of that genius until reading your comment, Ray.
“How do they make the magazine so big?”
“Well, that’s the clever bit. It’s not actually big, it just looks that way. It’s done with mirrors, innit?”
I would completely buy that City of London part-work., if I had anywhere to put it.
Those are definitely typical Shelley Winters ideas! 😀
There’s nothing typical about Shelley Winters’ ideas! But, yes, they are.
I ship it.
Have every other page filled with colorful advertisements will double the fun and double the page count. Mirrors? Must be for the narcissistic set. Don’t know if that could be called “genius” which is very different from “bright” by a long measure. The vox popli have no idea. Being told one is bright then not get hired is sending contrary and disturbing signals.
Admittedly her ideas are odd and unworkable. Maybe the building a streed a week for a London miniature could work…
This is so Mulder/Scully, if Mulder looked like a woodsy hermit and Scully was slightly bananas. I love it already.
